CoolDrive Auto Parts Expands its Hall of Fame
17 Sep, 2019
CoolDrive Auto Parts has recognised loyalty, commitment and contribution with the induction of two integral staff members into its Hall of Fame.
Announced at CoolDrive’s recent Branch of the Year Awards evening, the Hall of Fame inductees for 2019 were confirmed as Gary Lings, Western Australia and South Australia Regional Manager and Angela Cannon, Townsville Branch Manager.
In front of an audience of over 100 guests including senior management and staff, branch managers, suppliers and industry VIPs, CoolDrive Auto Parts CEO, John Blanchard, announced that Gary and Angela would join the eight others already inducted into the Hall of Fame from previous years.
“Businesses are built of people and in some instances, the loyalty, commitment and contributions of individuals employed in companies can be overlooked,” CoolDrive CEO John Blanchard said.
“By creating the CoolDrive ‘Hall of Fame’, we set out to change that, by recognising the amazing work of people in our business and how that work has built the foundation of our business.
“I think too it sends a message to our people that we truly value what they do and we appreciate their efforts.”
The two inductees to the CoolDrive Hall of Fame for 2019 were recognised for differing contributions.
“Gary and Angela have both been valuable members of the CoolDrive team since 2006, but they were integral contributors to the business prior to then, with their previous business, Factory Air, being a key customer for over 15 years before CoolDrive purchased their company and they moved to the ‘other side of the fence’,” John Blanchard continued.
“Since joining CoolDrive, Gary has driven the WA and SA region to immense success, including claiming the inaugural Region of the Year accolade in 2018. While under Angela’s management, the Townsville branch has gone from strength-to-strength, including being named one of the Branches of the Year in 2017 and a runner-up this year.
“Both Gary and Angela are extremely worthy recipients of this recognition and I know from their surprise on the night that the honour was very unexpected, so I have no doubt it’s something they will cherish.”
CoolDrive’s 2019 Branch of the Year Awards, which were sponsored by REDARC, was held at Rydges Norwest in Sydney in early August.
