9 May, 2016
CoolDrive is further expanding its presence in New Zealand with the recent acquisition of Total Air Conditioning in Albany, Auckland.
Effective as of 1 May 2016, the Total Air Conditioning business has become CoolDrive’s second acquisition in New Zealand.
“CoolDrive is excited to continue our expansion in New Zealand following last month’s acquisition of Direct Auto Parts,” Mr John Blanchard, CEO and Director of CoolDrive said.
“We’ve always identified New Zealand as a key market and whilst we have had an ongoing presence through our supply partners, we thought it was time to take it to the next level.
“CoolDrive is committed to our New Zealand expansion and the physical premises and now, a dedicated management and sales team, will enable us to better serve our customers and extend our product range and offerings to customers.”
CoolDrive New Zealand will be headed up by General Manager Gary McAlister from Total Air Conditioning who will be supported by National Sales Manager Aaron Carr.
"This is great news for our customers as now we have improved support from an experienced business in CoolDrive," Gary McAlister said.
"Both companies bring significant synergies to the partnership, from market knowledge to product range as well as cataloguing and marketing resources and we are aiming to grow our presence and customer service levels in New Zealand."
CoolDrive has a long history of service into New Zealand, having supplied companies in both the auto electrical and the automotive air-conditioning space for over 20 years through the Jaylec, Jayrad and Jayair brands.
