CoolDrive is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest automotive parts distributors and has undertaken significant growth in 2016-17 increasing our branch and brand presence, product range and service offerings.

In particular, we have increased our parts, knowledge and service offerings with the acquisition of specialist engine management organisations, Australian Fuel Injection (AFI) and the engine management parts division of Automotive Services Solutions (ASS).

As part of our commitment to this specialised industry, we welcomed a dedicated engine management category manager, Jarrod Hurst, to oversee the product range as well as the sales and diagnostic staff who joined CoolDrive from the Australian Fuel Injection and Automotive Service Solutions businesses.

This team brings a combined total of over 70 years of engine management experience, making us one of the most experienced and knowledgeable teams in the local industry.

“As we all know, modern motorists seek comfortable, reliable and high-performance vehicles, with low emissions, which consequently require complex electronic control systems to effectively meet these demands,” Jarrod Hurst, Category Manager – Engine Management, CoolDrive Auto Parts said.

“Over 45 per cent of vehicles in the Australian car parc has some aspect of ‘computer control’, whether it be engine and transmission mission control units, ABS modules, ignition modules or body control modules,” Mr Hurst continued. “The servicing of these modules is beyond the average DIY person and even the local garage staff require specialised knowledge and equipment. As cars become more and more sophisticated, engine monitoring servicing is essential and this is where CoolDrive comes on board.

Our engine management product suite includes a complete range of parts including fuel pumps, oxygen sensors, distributors, ignition coils, relays and map sensors. The range features products from over 20 brands, including industry-leading Valeo, Denso, VDO, FAE, Pierburg, Walker, Bosch and Hella.

“Our technical service repair team conducts a full range of automotive repairs, including repairing and testing of all types of vehicle electronics from ABS modules to complicated security integrated engine control systems,” Mr Hurst said. 

“Customers just need to contact the CoolDrive Service Centre and send the team the item requiring repair via an overnight mailbag. With a turnaround time averaging just 48 hours from receipt of the product to completed repair, downtime is minimised."
