THE WORD FROM TIM
“We had a reasonable day but didn’t maximise our potential in qualifying. We started further back than what we would have liked. We struggled in those first five laps of the race, as we knew we were going to run a longer stint we probably had our initial tyre pressures a little lower, so it didn’t give us a good balance. We adjusted the bars and waited for the pressures to come back up and from there the car was a lot better.”
“We moved forward up to 18th and got on the back of a fairly hectic battle pack. There wasn’t a lot between 10th and 18th, there was a lot of paint swapping as everyone battled in those final laps. Overall I think the strategy worked well, but I think if we were more competitive in those first 5 laps we could have had a stronger result.”
