THE WORD FROM TIM / TODD
The conditions were trying at Bathurst, with rain setting in for most of the day. Tim got off to a great start, but soon after Todd started his first stint the wiper blade stopped working. It was difficult task for him to continue driving, however he pressed on as best as he could. For his first ever Bathurst 1000, he did a great job in the challenging situation. The car was consistent in its performance, showing good signs of speed in all conditions. The team stayed out of trouble, and pressed on to cross the line in 12th. A nice result for the duo. Todd “It was a pretty incredible day, and definitely one of the tougher races I’ve ever been in for many reasons. It rained for the majority of the day and I drove for two stints without a wiper blade which was really challenging, especially around this place considering I’ve never driven here in these conditions.” “That put us back a fair way, and then we got a pit lane penalty for not acknowledging a blue flag. We had a lot working against us. For us to come back and finish 12th and gain some good points for Tim’s championship was really good bonus considering the circumstance we went through today.” “The team did a great job with everything thrown their way today. The car was really competitive in the wet and dry conditions, it was just a shame with the wiper blade not working that I could do more. I’m definitely not afraid to have a crack and pass people, but when you simply can’t see it is too risky, so we managed the situation as best as possible.” “Tim did a really great job in the drying conditions on slicks and I do feel like we can take away a few positives from the day and I’m looking forward to the next event at the Gold Coast.”
