Castrol Lubricants and CoolDrive Auto Parts Announce New Partnership

1 Jul, 2019

An icon of the Australian Automotive industry for over 100 years, Castrol lubricants are now available from CoolDrive Auto Parts.

The new partnership between Castrol and CoolDrive will put the entire Castrol product range at your fingertips.

CoolDrive will utilise a ‘Just in Time’ service, allowing Castrol lubricants to be delivered within hours of placing an order, offering customers an increased and superior service level.

This partnership comes as Castrol celebrates 100 years in the Australian and New Zealand regions. Established in Sydney in 1919, the iconic Castrol brand has spanned multiple industries, with the market-leading lubricant a part of some of the greatest achievements in human history.

It’s a natural partnership between two industry leaders, who collectively have 200 years of Australian Automotive knowledge. While CoolDrive celebrates its 42nd year in operation, the seeds for the current business were sown by founder John Blanchard Senior’s (W.J) father Jack Blanchard in 1918 who owned and operated an automotive garage in Clifton Hill, Victoria until 1956.

Today, CoolDrive is one of Australasia’s largest automotive parts distributors offering a comprehensive range covering automotive air conditioning, rotating electrical, electrical accessories, engine cooling, engine management, underbody, braking and suspension parts.

The partnership with Castrol offers a full lubricant range and cements CoolDrive’s position as a complete parts solution. Servicing Capricorn members and workshops nationally, CoolDrive is an experienced and trusted supplier to the trade.

CoolDrive Auto Parts have over 30 branches in Australia and New Zealand and over 500 staff of which 160 are sales representatives. This extensive national network allows for a wide national reach and provides the ability to deliver on their hands-on service-oriented mantra.

When it comes to product innovation and driving sustainability, Castrol is committed to the transition to lower carbon. Castrol Professional is the world’s first certified carbon neutral oil. This helps customers take steps to meet the climate challenge. Castrol products are also co-engineered through innovative partnerships with some of the largest OEMs globally.

The constant drive to push technology and redefine industry standards, ensures Castrol customers are utilising the latest lubricant technology and products that are designed to meet the specific needs of each OEM’s vehicles.

Castrol and CoolDrive look forward to growing their partnership into the future, offering the Australian automotive industry innovative solutions to their emerging needs in a rapidly changing arena.
