Denso TT Revolutionises Spark Plug Market

DENSO’s new Twin Tip (TT) Spark Plugs utilise world-first design technology to deliver unrivalled engine combustion for better performance, and both reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
It’s proof that two tips really are better than one!
Available from CoolDrive Distribution, the DENSO TT Spark Plug range consists of the Iridium TT and Nickel TT models, each offering a number of versatile part numbers to fit most local and international vehicle applications.
The DENSO Iridium TT Spark Plug has been developed to maximise engine endurance, power, performance and economy, and offer service intervals of 100,000km plus.
Utilising DENSO’s patented Twin Tip design, the Iridium TT has an ultra-fine 0.4mm centre electrode – the world’s smallest -- made of iridium alloy and a second 0.7mm platinum-tipped ground electrode, which together concentrate the electric potential of the spark at the tip of the spark plug.
With a stronger electric field to lower the required voltage, combustion is good for all types of driving, the engine starts easily and acceleration is enhanced.
The TT design means that these iridium spark plugs even out-perform conventional iridium plugs.
CoolDrive is also distributing DENSO’s other Twin Tip design, the Nickel TT.
Developed as an affordable alternative, the DENSO Nickel TT features a nickel centre and a second protruding ground electrode with a slimmer 1.5mm diameter, providing better ignitability than a standard spark plug.
It also achieves ignition efficiency closer to DENSO premium iridium plugs but, as the first ever fine-wired spark plug without precious metal on the electrodes, it delivers improved performance at a lower cost.
And the Nickel TT spark plugs are rated with a 20,000km service interval.
Improved fuel consumption of up to 5 percent is another by product of the TT design, as is significantly reduced CO, CO2 and HC emissions.
