CoolDrive Acquires AME Products

CoolDrive Distribution today announced the acquisition of electrical component distributor, AME Products.

Like CoolDrive, AME is a family-owned Australian business widely respected for its expertise in the supply and distribution of a wide range of electrical brands and products.

CoolDrive’s acquisition of AME is consistent with its commitment to growth and delivering a high level of service to its customers.

“AME’s acquisition is one of the most significant in CoolDrive’s history,” CoolDrive Managing Director John Blanchard said.

“It enables us to both expand our store network and to strengthen the range of quality electrical products we can offer, right across our store network.

“These are exciting times for CoolDrive … this is just the first of a number of key initiatives we’ll be announcing in the coming months.”

AME’s four stores will be absorbed by CoolDrive, with AME Sydney and Cairns to be merged with existing CoolDrive branches, while the remaining two AME stores will join the CoolDrive network.

CoolDrive’s acquisition of AME will also have the benefit of giving its customers access to a much wider range of product, including Air Conditioning, Engine Cooling, Engine Management and Suspension.
