THE WORD FROM TIM
“It was a really good result for Team CoolDrive and my Brad Jones Racing stable-mates today – Tim Slade finished on the podium, Nick finished 8th and I was close behind in 12th. It equals my best solo result of the year (12th in Darwin).”
“The Newcastle track is really tricky, and I was lucky to think quick and miss the 3 car pile-up on lap one that happened right in front of me. Unfortunately having to stop behind them meant I was at the back of the order once we restarted. The CoolDrive Commodore felt pretty speedy, so with some good strategy and pit stops from the team it helped me move forward.”
“Newcastle really has set an incredible scene for the racing here, the turn-out by the fans has been nothing short of awesome. The Supercars put on a pretty good show for them today with some hard racing, and with a championship still on the line, I think they’ll be in for one hell of a finale tomorrow. We certainly want to be finishing in a similar spot or better tomorrow.”
