4 Apr, 2016
CoolDrive is pleased to announce it has acquired the business and assets of Direct Auto Parts Ltd., effective 1 April 2016. Based in Albany, Auckland in New Zealand, Direct Auto Parts is an established and well regarded supplier of rotating electrical and auto electrical components. CoolDrive is a family owned distributor of automotive electrical, lighting, rotating electrical, air-conditioning, engine cooling and other automotive products with 24 branches – now including its very first in New Zealand. “This is really exciting news for our customers as now we have improved support from an experienced business in CoolDrive,” Mr Aaron Carr, General Manager, Direct Auto Parts said. “It will be a very easy transition for our customers as the phone lines, location and account payment details remain the same but we will be able to tap into a larger range of product and experience. The team at CoolDrive / Direct will continue to provide excellent customer service and support through improved product access and knowledge,” Mr Carr added. CoolDrive has a long history of service into New Zealand, having supplied companies in both the auto electrical and the automotive air-conditioning space for over 20 years through the Jaylec, Jayrad and Jayair brands. “CoolDrive is committed to expansion in New Zealand and we will extend the product range on offer to include Air-Conditioning, with more to come, along with the opening of additional branches. Watch out for further exciting announcements in the coming weeks and months,” Mr John Blanchard, CEO and Director of CoolDrive said. “Opening the first of our CoolDrive branches in New Zealand was the next logical step, doing it through the acquisition of Direct Auto Parts is the right way for us to better serve our customers,” Mr Blanchard concluded.
