FAST FACTS - 2017 is the first time we will see Supercars qualify for each individual race. Previously drivers qualified for Race One, then Race Two and Three were determined by the previous race finishing position, and Race Four starting positions were based on points earned over the first three races. The qualifying sessions on Thursday will be 10 minutes each, with only a 10-15 minute gap in between each session. - Tim’s best result here was 11th in Race Three in 2013, with Dick Johnson Racing. - Tim has fond memories of the Albert Park circuit. He attended the first Grand Prix held in Melbourne in 1996 with his family; even watching a live taping of Hey Hey It’s Saturday at the circuit! - Being a Formula One fan Tim enjoys the Albert Park circuit for its fast and flowing layout. One of his favourite Formula One memories was seeing Lewis Hamilton finish on the podium in his debut in 2007. |
