THE RECAP & WORD FROM TIM 

After another top five effort in this mornings practice session, Tim had his second-best qualifying result of 2018, and was set to start from 13^th for today’s 120km race around ‘The Bend’. After a slow start on the sandy side of the circuit dropped Tim to 17^th, he managed to work his way back up to 15^th.

“Mixed feelings after todays qualifying and race. This morning when the track was pretty clean our cars were very strong, we were 4^th in the final practice session and after yesterdays results we thought we were well in the game. Qualifying became a bit of a lottery, teams only got two runs to get in a fast lap and we were probably a touch more conservative than we should have been. We finished 13^th which still put us in a good starting spot for the race.”
 
“We had a poor start off the line, the conditions we had for the race were vastly different from how its been so far this weekend. I don’t think our car was as strong as it had been, but it was enough for us to hold onto 15^th there at the end. I think we had the potential to be in the ten today, but track conditions were slightly off what we were hoping for this afternoon.”
