“We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and tomorrow to find some pace in the Team CoolDrive Commodore. We really didn’t have what we needed to get the job done today.”
 
“Jamie Whincup had just passed me, putting me a lap down when a late safety car was called upon, so the rest of the queue was behind me. I was trying to let the other cars through on the restart and find a gap where I could settle in, which is tough to do without burning your own tyres up trying to shift off the race line. It was a tough day.”
 
“We’ll dig deep for tomorrow, we really want to be able to fight our way forward in the Team CoolDrive Commodore for the final 200km race here tomorrow.”
