The excitement levels this year are just that little bit higher with Supercars putting championship points on the line for teams and drivers. “It was a frustrating start to the Melbourne 400 weekend. We had a few gearbox issues in both practice sessions which made qualifying a bit of a lottery for us. I made a mistake in the first qualifying session which cost us, however the second session was a lot better. The guys had worked hard between sessions to gather all the data and work on moving the three BJR cars in the same direction.” “With the lack of practice today we’ll review what the other cars did today and use some of their knowledge along with what we achieved in the latter qualifying session and point ourselves in the right direction for the rest of the weekend.” “We’ve still got another two qualifying sessions tomorrow, then we’ll get the first 130km race underway.
