THE WORD FROM TIM

With the first Formula One race of the year getting underway at Albert Park today, the Supercars wrapped up their Melbourne 400 weekend with a short and sharp 70km race this afternoon.

“It’s been a mixed weekend here in Melbourne, we’ve had our share of mechanical issues which has been unfortunate, but the team have always worked as quickly and hard as they can to resolve them.”

“The highlight of the weekend was the 11th place finish yesterday when we made the right call to stay out on slick tyres when a lot of others decided to pit. It can be a tricky game like that at times, but it’s earned me my equal best result here.”

“We’ll regroup at the workshop early this week. It’ll be a quick turnaround for Team CoolDrive as the cars need to get on the boat to Tassie by Sunday/Monday next weekend. They’ll be all systems go this week, then enjoy the Easter break before heading across for the next event at Symmons Plains. For me, it’s now time to go watch the F1 race!”
