THE WORD FROM TIM

It was a 3am finish for the Team CoolDrive crew last night, as they burned the midnight oil to repair the extensive damage sustained to the left-hand side of Tim’s car after the nasty turn 8 incident. The
CoolDrive Commodore made it on track today, however it had some steering issues which made the 250km battle extremely tough for Tim. He managed to stay out of trouble and bring the CoolDrive Commodore home in 23rd and salvage some points for the weekend.

“The team have done an incredible job overnight to get the car ready to race today. It was all hands-on deck from all the BJR crew, including the Super2 team, Wodonga TAFE and MTA students. They essentially replaced everything on the left-hand side of the car, from the front splitter, bar repairs, replacing uprights, shocks, arms, wing end plates, you name it.”

“It took them until 3am to get it all done, so today is going to be a long day for all these guys and girls. I can’t thank them enough for getting me out again, it was a tough slog all round and not what we wanted for the first weekend of the year.”

“I’m looking forward to getting to the Grand Prix as I feel it is a home event for me growing up there, so with points on offer for the first time in history, we’ll see what we can do there.”
