Taking Automotive Lighting to New Levels

12 May, 2018

Automotive lighting has a new major player, with CoolDrive setting its sights on this growing sector, expanding its product offerings and partnerships.

From its origins in passenger vehicle air-conditioning equipment and expertise, to its expansion into rotating electrical, engine cooling, underbody and electrical accessories, CoolDrive is now considered one of the country’s leading suppliers in automotive lighting.

Its recently-announced distribution partnership with Lightforce is a prime example of the Australian family-owned company’s commitment to the industry with Lightforce’s premium products adding significant weight to CoolDrive’s ever-expanding product range.

“Originally forming just part of our overall electrical accessories product category, CoolDrive’s lighting range has seen substantial growth over the last five years, resulting in the release of the first stand-alone lighting catalogue last year,” CoolDrive’s CEO and Managing Director, John Blanchard said.

“Our product ranges vary in response to customer demand and we have seen a significant increase in enquiries and sales in lighting, hence our focus in this area.”

In 2018, CoolDrive will pay particular attention to lighting solutions for the booming 4WD and SUV market, considering lightbars and special-purpose driving lights essential equipment for any serious 4WD.

It will also focus on expanding its camping and outdoor lights via its HULK range. CoolDrive’s lighting range consists of hundreds of products from all of the major brands in the Australian market including Hella, HULK, Ignite, LED, Narva, and of course Lightforce.

You name it, CoolDrive has it - with all facets of passenger vehicle lighting and heavy duty requirements covered, including driving lights, fog lamps, lightbars, headlamps, running lights, inspection lights, work lamps, emergency lighting and interior lights.

A comprehensive range of marine lamps is available, as is a full complement of signal lamps, including rear, side and reversing lamps for passenger vehicles and trailers.

It isn’t just lighting product supply that CoolDrive offers, with the company undertaking significant research and development, including the development of heat management systems for high efficiency, high technology lighting systems.

Through its Ignite brand, CoolDrive also works to continually develop special-purpose lights and accessories, with a focus on the extension of product lifespans as part of its ongoing commitment to customers.
