The ITM Auckland SuperSprint marks the penultimate round of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and is the only international race on this year’s calendar.

- Only 5 races of the 38 held in VASC history at Pukekohe have had 100% finishing rates – 2004 Race 1, 2014 Saturday Race 2, 2014 Sunday, 2016 Saturday Race 2 and 2016 Sunday Race 1.
- This year is the sixth year the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy has been awarded at Pukekohe. It’s presented to the driver with the most points scored over the course of the weekend and has had only one repeat winner – Jamie Whincup
