THE RECAP
Newcastle turned on sunny yet strong wind conditions for the final practice sessions of 2018. With two, 45-minute sessions on the cards, drivers were re-familiarising themselves with the street circuit and focusing on getting the setups right for the weekend ahead.

“We had a small mechanical issue to start our day, but it took a little more time than expected to get on top of, so we didn’t get as much running as we would have liked in the first session.”
“In the second practice session we made some good gains and got within the window at the end. Times are really close here, there are only three tenths between 5th and 20th, so you’re really not searching for much around here, yet it can make a huge difference.”
“It will make for an interesting qualifying session tomorrow, and the races should be pretty exciting with people fighting for final spots in the both the team and drivers’ championship.”
