Qualifying times were tight and with rain coming down in the final minutes, it made it tricky for drivers that were hoping to get in a final flying lap at the end of the session. Tim started the race from 23rd and stayed out of trouble early in the race when a couple of battle packs got too close. There were a few bump and runs, spins, and when Fabian Coulthard was sent hard into a wall, we saw the one and only safety car of the race. This caused havoc in pit lane with everyone entering pit lane to get their first stop out of the way, and with cars double stacking; the order changed significantly. At the end of the race Tim was battling with Craig Lowndes who is also on his ‘last lap’ of Pukekohe this weekend. Tim was the biggest mover of the day, climbing up 11 spots to finish in 12th position. This is his equal best result here at the Pukekohe circuit. Tomorrow we qualify at 11:05am (NZDT) and have the addition of the top ten shootout, then one final 200km race to finish our New Zealand Supercar journey. MEET TIM Sunday 4th November 12:25 – 12:55 – Autograph Session @ Team Garages
