Team CoolDrive The Bend SuperSprint Supercars Preview

Macauley joined the Supercars grid at the Bend last year as a wildcard entry, it was the first time any of the drivers had contested on the new South Australian circuit.

Macauley qualified inside the top twenty for both races, placing as high as 19th in the final Sunday race.

Dean Canto joins Macauley this weekend as co-drivers get the on-track action underway with a co-driver session, getting valuable time behind the wheel before the upcoming endurance season in less than two months.

Friday 23rd August

10:45-11:15 – Additional Driver Session (Dean Canto)

13:10-13:40 – Practice One

15:40-16:10 – Practice Two

Saturday 24th August

10:00-10:30 – Practice Three

12:35-13:15 – Qualifying (3 x 10-minute sessions - knockout style!)

15:25-16:15 – Race 21 – 120kms/24 Laps

Sunday 25th August

9:00-9:30 – Practice Four

10:50-11:30 – Qualifying (3 x 10-minute sessions - knockout style!)

13:40-15:00 – Race 22 – 200kms/41 Laps

- The safety car only appeared once at last years’ event – during the Saturday race affecting 3 of the 24 laps.

- Only one Supercar driver has claimed pole position at The Bend – Jamie Whincup scored both pole positions last year.

- The Bend Motorsport Park is just the fourth venue in South Australia to host a round of the ATCC/Supercars Championship.
