LET THE RACING BEGIN...Adelaide 500 Supercars Preview

27 Feb, 2019

The 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship is about to get underway in Adelaide.

Taking over the steering wheel from Tim Blanchard this season is Macauley Jones; who is one of two rookies (+ Garry Jacobson - Kelly Racing) competing in this year’s Supercars Championship.

Although making his full-time debut, Macauley knows the Adelaide street circuit well, as he has raced here in the Super2 support category since 2015.

Macauley Jones

“The Superloop Adelaide 500 is a great way to kick off the year. I can remember as a kid watching my dad race around the track and having a rollover at the exit of the treacherous turn 8. It’s a track that can bite hard if something goes wrong; there is no room for error.”

“The atmosphere at the track is always pumping and the drivers love the trickiness and complexity of the circuit itself. I can’t wait to get there and make my full-time Supercars debut. This is a really special moment for me.”

Below are the on-track times for Macauley Jones in the Team CoolDrive Supercar at the Superloop Adelaide 500, and your local TV times can be found here - https://www.supercars.com/tv-schedule/
