PETRONAS Motorsport Townsville Super2 Preview

Tim Blanchard will be on the Super2 grid at this weekends Townsville 400 event in PETRONAS Motorsport colours.

Townsville has been a happy hunting ground for Blanchard, who took his first Super2 race win and overall round win here in 2010. Tim finished 2nd overall in his rookie Super2 season, claiming the Mike Kable Young Gun award along the way.

Tim is eager to make his return to the Super2 grid, where he will line up amongst a few familiar faces including Ash Walsh and Jack Perkins, plus a number of Supercar co-drivers and rising stars of the sport.

With a highly competitive field, these races are action-packed keeping fans on the edge of their seats. For Tim, the extra seat time will be invaluable in his lead-up to the endurance season.

The Super2 schedule sees two practice sessions on Friday; with both Saturday and Sunday having standalone qualifying sessions and a 21 lap race each day. The PETRONAS Supercar will be one to watch!

All Super2 sessions will be shown LIVE on FOX Sports with additional coverage on Channel Ten. Check your local guides for times.
