Team CoolDrive Bathurst 1000 Supercars Preview

The CoolDrive Supercar is gearing up to take on the biggest race of the year this weekend, with Macauley Jones and Dean Canto ready to tackle Mount Panorama.

This iconic event is like no other and tests man against mountain for 1000 kilometres of racing flat out! The heart-stopping Mount Panorama Circuit is known as one of the world's best and most challenging tracks. Its unique combination of stunning corners, incredible elevation changes and high-speed straights puts teams to the ultimate test. Everything and anything can happen at the Mountain and you can be sure that on race day, it will!

Below are the on-track times for Macauley and Dean in the Team CoolDrive Racing Supercar at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

• The Safety Car was first introduced to Bathurst in 1987 and since then there have only been two races – 1989 and 1991- where it has not been called upon at some stage.
• The Bathurst race has been red-flagged a total of four times in its history.
• The record for most Bathurst 500/1000 wins, Peter Brock had nine wins, his first in 1972 and last in 1987.
