Team CoolDrive Gold Coast 600 Supercars Preview

The Gold Coast 600 is the second round of the PIRTEK Endurance Cup and Macauley and Dean will once again be partnering up in the Team CoolDrive Holden Commodore.   

The circuit never disappoints and is known to be one of the harshest tracks on the calendar with its brutal chicanes, concrete walls and narrow overtaking areas. The weekend is also renowned for both it's on and off-track entertainment, with people coming from all across Australia to enjoy the racing by day and party by night atmosphere.

• Last year’s Sunday race was the first ‘no race’ in the history of the ATCC / Supercars Championship after wet weather forced the race to be abandoned. No Championship points were awarded and there is no race winner/s or podiums recorded in championship history books
• The most Safety Car periods in a Gold Coast race is six – on Sunday in 2009 (across the two legs that made up that race) and also Sunday 2010.
• There are four grid positions in the top 10 from which a Gold Coast Supercars race winner has never come – 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th are all yet to produce winners.
