Team CoolDrive Set for All Stars eSeries

7 Apr, 2020

The BP Supercars All Stars Eseries kicks off tomorrow and Macauley Jones in the #3 Team CoolDrive Commodore is pumped up and ready to go!

While we may not be able to physically be on track right now, we’re so excited to still bring you on track entertainment right to your living rooms with this unique Eseries. Make sure you tune in to get your weekly dose of speed, action and no doubt, shunts!

Drivers will be taking their seats (pun intended) every Wednesday night for 10-weeks, beginning at 7pm (AEDT) and airing over a 2hr time slot with all Virgin Australia Supercar drivers participating - making it a 25-driver grid! You’ll be able to tune in to watch all the action via FOX Sports 506, Kayo, Ten Play and LIVE streamed across the CoolDrive Auto Parts Facebook page.

Drivers will qualify and race at two nominated circuits from around the world each week. Round one takes us to Phillip Island and Monza. Tracks we’ll travel to throughout the series include Silverstone, Barcelona, Spa-Francorchamps, Bathurst, Daytona and Oran Park Raceway. With many drivers never racing at these circuits before, it’ll be sure to make great entertainment!

Macca is keen to have a crack, “I think it’s going to be great to be able to get the competitive side going again. Most drivers are quite goal focused so when the racing calendar becomes uncertain you can lose motivation with not much direction but having this series gives the spark to look forward to racing soon.

“Managing tyres, pit stops and not running off the track will be some biggest challenges I’ll face. There is a lot to learn with Iracing. It has its tyre deg, fuel burn and cold tyre simulations which can be hard to gauge the rates as these happen, so just managing the whole race will be a new juggle.

“I haven’t raced at quite a few of the tracks we’re heading to but I’m very excited to race at Oran Park, Nürburgring and Road America. There are some great tracks in our series that’s for sure.”

Supercars will use a variety of different race formats across the series so it’s always fresh and entertaining. Expect to see traditional two-race formats, enduros, mystery rounds, night races and even reverse grids!

Live conversations of the drivers will also be streamed so we can feel like we’re all part of the action and enjoy some on track banter! There’ll also be webcams set up on selected drivers across the series.

7pm (AEDT) tomorrow it all kicks off. Tune in to watch Team CoolDrive and Macca take on Round One. We can’t wait to go racing!
