Team CoolDrive Macauley Jones 2020 Supercars Reveal

11 Feb, 2020

Macauley Jones is prepared to launch into 2020 with a fresh, striking, blue and white livery while also switching it up to car number 3 for the Supercars season.

The decision was made to change the Team CoolDrive Holden Commodore number to bring the team back to its family roots – the number having considerable significance to the Blanchard family. Team Owner Tim Blanchard used #3 in Formula Ford both in the UK and to win in the Australian Championship and he is excited to use the number again, “I’m really looking forward to the season ahead. Seeing the resurrection of the number 3 brings back a lot of awesome memories for me and as we head into what we are envisioning to be a highly results-focused year”.

The 2020 Team CoolDrive livery will showcase a more prominent blue car with a swish of white across the side, continuing up to the wing. A stunning livery that will be hard to miss on track.

Macauley Jones heads into his second season of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship with 31 rounds under his belt. Macca is eager for the season to begin “I’m looking forward to getting to Adelaide and it all kicking off. I feel I have a lot more knowledge now heading into my second season. I’m focused on consistency throughout the year and putting what I have learnt last year into use so we can improve for the year ahead.

“I feel like as a team we are stronger than ever and working through everything to go into 2020 as ready as we can. We have a lot more data now we can work with and I am confident we will be making gains as the year progresses.” Jones said.

With just under two weeks to go until the Superloop Adelaide 500, the team is in final preparation mode with the first test at Winton Raceway tomorrow followed by the official Supercars test at Tailem Bend in a week.
